“Dr. Payne is a thoughtful listen...”
Dr. Payne is a thoughtful listener and is someone who understands me and my communication style. She never discounts or brushes past what I report, even though I tend to just casually say something. This has helped immensely to improve my quality of life through the many years she has been my doctor. I cannot thank her enough. I notice a lower quality of care when I do not get to have an appointment with Dr. Payne for an exam. It's not that the other providers are not qualified, but the intuition and understanding from the appointment lacks. It takes a while for me, and most people, to develop a level of trust, especially with sensitive to talk about issues and body parts. I also am not the type of person to make an appointment for individual issues throughout the year. I don't think they are issues until I'm sharing with Dr. Payne, or I tend to just suffer with them, and she helps me to value myself and try and correct. I am a strong advocate of having all my appointments with Dr. Payne, even though others could easily do an annual exam. For me it's not "just" an annual exam. Dr. Payne provides me so much more. (Got a little off topic there, but there you go.)
