“This was a really rough appointm...”

This was a really rough appointment for us. It seemed like Dr. Thum didn't fully understand how to interact with patients who had the history I do, as she popped her head in to say they found a "red flag" on my ultrasound, then left again. As someone who has experienced traumatic loss, that was a huge fear inducing way to communicate with me. She also didn't seem to really listen to me and my concerns, and asked if she needed to do an exam today. I wasn't sure, and assumed she should know if I needed an exam or not. Overall she just seemed like she was lacking knowledge in patient care and overall pregnancy experience.

I waited for more than one hour, then the doctoir saw me for less than 10 mins including the exam. I didnt feal heard, she was rushed and didnt get a chance to express my concerns

Dr. Thum was incredibly attentive, patient and kind. I felt safe and like she truly valued me living my best, most healthy life - definitely a person, not a number. It was my first visit with her and I plan to continue to see her.

Dr. Thum was amazing. A pleasant surprise seeing her for the first time and how much attention she gave me and wanted to understand why I was there and offer much needed information and guidance.
