I've been in pain for years. This doctor didn't seem to understand I refuse to have nerve blocking needles stuck in my back or hip. He refused to prescribe me Vicodin which I haven't had in over 6 months, I retired from my job because of my chronic pain. Now that I'm retired I wanted to work outside in my yard, my pain is ridiculous. Can't do yard work for more than 10 minutes at a time. My primary Doctor referred me to this guy for pain management and he told me to get pain medicine from my primary doctor. Very frustrating

Dr. Yu was wonderful! He took time to show me my MRI images and explain everything to me, and he also used the skeleton in the office to show me exactly what was happening in my neck.

He listened to my concerns, and took the time to look back at old imaging to see what was going on. He explained possible procedure options, but didn't push me. He was respectful and believed my pain. I felt seen and heard.
