“Dr. Yu is an outstanding special...”

Dr. Yu is an outstanding specialist. I come from a different city to see him specifically. Dr. Yu has always been straight forward and honest with me (or any family members who may have accompanied me to the appointment). I appreciate Dr. Yu's approach, even if he "gets on my case" about getting care from regular doctors. (He was right to tell me to contact a doctor about a symptom that I was experiencing. There is an issue, and I may need surgery. He was right again.) I trust Dr. Yu in a way I have only trusted one other doctor (who is now retired). Dr. Yu is not only extremely knowledgeable, he has the most current, up to date information for any questions I ask. I have recommended Dr. Yu to 2 other people over the years with pain issues, and I will recommend him again if someone lets me know they're struggling with similar problems. Dr. Yu is the GOLD standard. I don't know that I will have another doctor like him in my lifetime. (Kind, knowledgeable, respectful, pushes back when necessary, extremely educated, able to make concepts easily understood, organized, thoughtful, and trustworthy.) I also appreciate that Dr. Yu runs his office on a tight ship, and if I show up to my appointment on time, I consider myself late! Dr. Yu has also worked me into the schedule if needed (but that rarely happens). Swedish has been a great medical community, and I appreciate the rest of the staff as well.

I've been in pain for years. This doctor didn't seem to understand I refuse to have nerve blocking needles stuck in my back or hip. He refused to prescribe me Vicodin which I haven't had in over 6 months, I retired from my job because of my chronic pain. Now that I'm retired I wanted to work outside in my yard, my pain is ridiculous. Can't do yard work for more than 10 minutes at a time. My primary Doctor referred me to this guy for pain management and he told me to get pain medicine from my primary doctor. Very frustrating

Dr. Yu was wonderful! He took time to show me my MRI images and explain everything to me, and he also used the skeleton in the office to show me exactly what was happening in my neck.

I love Dr Yu. He makes me feel like I'm the only patient he has in the world. Very thoughtful and thorough. Never rushed. Kind! Pays attention to what I saying. I love this Dr and would follow him thru hell. I wish more Drs were like him.
