“I waited about 20 minutes in the...”
I waited about 20 minutes in the room before Dr. Northrup hurriedly entered , cleaned my knee and proceeded to give me the injection of Durolane while I was still seated in the chair. No lidocaine, just an exceeding painful lengthy injection. I have a high pain threshold , but this I rated as an 8. He left, returned a while later, instructed his nurse to bring me a cold pack, left again. On his next return, he found me still in a lot of pain and not able to walk with my cane, (that I don't ever need but brought as a precaution), so he then finally said I couldn't leave without lidocaine. My opinion is that he was behind schedule, as he said I didn't need to get up on the table, and after the lidocaine was starting to take effect and I asked him why he didn't do that first, he replied "they said I didn't need to." Upon further questioning he said "they" was the company who made the Durolane. All in all it was a very unpleasant experience.
