Shannon is ALWAYS professional, courteous, empathetic, extremely knowledgeable, and interested in my input and condition. This was a follow-up for my second knee replacement in the past 4 months, and I have great confidence in Shannon, [provider name], and every member of the care team in this office/practice.

She was quick and didn't really give option other than the shot that I got. Waiting was a bit long and visit a bit brisk. No real complaints but I can't say I felt cared for particularly.

The provider was very knowledgeable, nice, and helpful. She explained what had happened so far and what to look for in the future, as well as what the next steps in my care would be depending on my recovery and physical therapy. She went above and beyond, even helping me to remove some tape the physical therapist had put on a very hairy part of my leg and did a very good job of making it nearly painless.

“I was disappointed when a studen...”

I was disappointed when a student was the one that handled my appointment. Don't get me wrong, she was very good, very nice and attentive, but I was not even given the option to say if it was OK or not that the student conducted my appointment. The nurse practitioner/ physician assistant that I was supposed to have was not even in the room for the initial assessment. The student left the room to talk with her and then both of them re-entered the room and the student continued to conduct the appointment and give the injection. While I do not have a problem with a student being in the room or assessing me, normally what has happened in other offices is that the physician or nurse practitioner/physicians assistant would be present through the whole visit and would also have hands on in evaluating. I feel as though the bill will reflect the same cost whether it was a physician/assistant/student therefore I would have appreciated having at least the physician assistant/nurse practitioner participating more hands on in the evaluation. While the issues that I was having may not be a big deal to those who deal with this and see it every day. It is a big deal to a patient who has been experiencing this pain and discomfort for a while and is concerned how to resolve their issues. Again, the student was very nice and I feel she has a bright future doing what she is doing.
