Dr. Sorvino-Macchia is a great dentist. I started going to her when she was practicing general dentistry and was very sad when I heard that she was going for her specialty license. A few years later I realize that she opened a practice specializing in Endodontics very close to where I was now living. Unfortunately I have need of many root canals as I have gotten older and I wouldn't think of going to anyone else. She is really friendly and is great at explaining the procedure and listening to my concerns and general dentist says she does great work.

Dr. Sorvino is awesome! My daughter, 18 years old, was terrified when she found out from her general dentist that she needed a root canal on a wisdom tooth. Luckily, we were referred to Dr. Sorvino.
From the moment I called the office to schedule the appointment, I knew my daughter would be comfortable. The phone was answered by Laura who was both friendly and professional and found a time that fit my daughter's schedule. When we arrived at the office, Dr. Sorvino came out to the reception area to sit with my daughter and talk to her. She made sure to understand what was worrying my daughter about the visit before she seated her. As we went into the room, my daughter was laughing and smiling.
Dr. Sorvino completed the root canal in two visits, each time using some laughing gas that made my daughter very comfortable. The second visit was so easy because the first had been pain and anxiety free. Dr. Sorvino called to check on how she was feeling the next day - certainly something that I haven't normally experienced.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Sorvino. She was able to combine professionalism and warmth, excellence and concern. My daughter walked away from what could have been a horrible experience, with nothing but good things to say about her root canal and Dr. Sorvino. The final thing was that when our general dentist saw the final root canal she complimented how fantastic it was!
I hope you never need a root canal, but if you do - look no further than Dr. Sorvino. You will be amazed at how pain free and easy she makes the experience.
