“She was very nice and decent ove...”
She was very nice and decent overall but it was kind of bothersome to me when I expressed concern about my weight gain since starting this medication which is noticeable for sure and the only solutions I was given were to either lower my dose or change my diet and exercise (which I have already done). It feels like most of the time providers think they already know how you're living your life and minimize the issues presented. It made me feel very frustrated and like I cannot trust doctors to actually listen to me and help me with what I need. It was hard enough to get to the point of having a diagnosis and getting the right dosage of medication in the first place so I feel sometimes like I'm better off just figuring it out on my own. It my weight gain was really because of bad diet and lack of exercise then I would have been gaining weight before the medication was started but I wasn't and my diet and exercise has been about the same before and after. So it's just very annoying and to me it is similar to doctors blaming actual health concerns on depression or anxiety all the time.
