Its impressive to have such a good experience every time I visit there! The part I have trouble with and is always uncomfortable, is the long ride from Port Angeles!

I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Oskouian! Unfortunately/fortunately, this was my 3rd back surgery with him. I say unfortunately because it's very frustrating for me, as a 35 year old to already need a 3rd back surgery in my lifetime. Fortunately, I got to have Dr. Oskouian perform all 3 and I felt like I was in the best hands possible every single time! Personally, I hope I never need back surgery again, but if I did, I'd go straight back to Dr. O! First off, he knows my back better than anyone else. Second, I've had great results from each surgery with him, with the 3rd surgery probably being my best recovery overall! I had done my research when I re-injured my back for the 3rd, and everything I read said I'd likely need a fusion. Going into my initial appointment with him back in May, I had already told myself that I'd stand firm on pressing to have another discectomy and not a spinal fusion because I knew how intense the recovery process would be. And now that I have 1.5 year old daughter, and looking to try to have another in the near future, I didn't want a long recovery process that could potentially push me years down the road from having another kid. Thankfully, before I even had to explain myself, Dr. O said he was confident he could go in there a 3rd time and just clean it out, which is exactly what I was looking for! It's like he read my mind. At the end, I thanked him for not recommending the spinal fusion. He followed It up with saying that if it's not a surgery he would want for himself, it's not a surgery he would push on his patients. However, realistically, if I had gone elsewhere, a fusion is likely what they would have done. Another huge bonus to having Dr. Oskouian is that he's licensed in the state of Alaska, so my initial visit and post-surgery follow up visit could be done via video chat! This saves me literally a couple thousand dollars by not having to fly down from Alaska to have a quick 30 minute visit in person. I can't tell you how thankful I am for Dr. Oskouian for all the care he provided me over the last few months!

I had an xray that shows a little bit. I wish I could have had an MRI. That would have shown much more detail. Then I would have felt confident of what's going on with my neck and low back.
