Only bad experiences were from staff in the Gettysburg Hospital Emergency Room and Out Patient Area. Dr. Ahmed was not yet my new heart doctor. Bad examples are (1) delays in EM and OP without any explanations. EM staff said the staff at the Out Patient area were being advised about my needs, Including my needed prescriptions and whether needed In the AM and/or PM. The out patient nurse told me, "We have received no Information about you from the EM."

My recent experiences with WellSpan personnel have been very good. It is a shame that past billing and financial experiences were so poor because they left a very bad impression and prompted me to seek medical care outside of WellSpan.

He was very respectful and took the time to listen to me. I didn't feel like I was a burden or wasting his time.

Dr. Ahmed is a very pleasant and personal individual, however he's not very attentive to my interests and concerns. I have atrial fib and heart failure. I came with a written list of questions. He provided some answers to a few of them but brushed over most of them likely because the appointment was for 15 minutes and he read our time. He did an EKG and did not discuss anything about the results. With this condition I need to know how to manage it better and to maintain the proper order lifestyle. He spends more time talking about how young I look then how to manage my medical conditions. One good thing - he wrote extensive visit notes for this visit which he seldom does.
