I came to Dr. Marcus and within the first seconds of our appointment, he assured me that the goal was to help me. "How can we help you". I've had too many psychiatrists who seem to have an agenda that is not in harmony with my own personal experience. Or who are too concerned about covering their own derrieres to actually be willing to provide me with the help that I need. I admit that I can be a difficult patient. Not because I am a difficult person, but because I have treatment-resistant depression, which is difficult to treat, and my experience with virtually every antidepressant I have ever tried has been bad. Dr. Marcus seems willing to work with me on this in a manner that doesn't leave me in terror that more awful antidepressants are going to be pressured upon me in a way that would likely cause me great suffering, as has been the case in the past.

He was very thorough in taking my presenting problem and going over my medication and family history. I was very impressed and I will continue working with him. on my medications. The doctor is very knowledgeable, clearly has a great deal of experience (for what I needed) .. he continuously took moments to ask if I had any questions/ understood our game plan. From our very first appointment Dr. Michael Marcus was extremely realistic, straightforward, and correct with an understanding of not only my diagnosis but individual needs. If you want a doctor to "yes man" you to death, you should look elsewhere. He is prompt, on point, and willing to treat you as an individual between what he believes you while considering what you want. This guy is my favorite Dr. already as he set up an open line of no nonsense communication and was happy to come to a mutual agreed upon treatment plan tailored to my needs as patient whom is in a managerial position and starting a small business. 10/10 from me. I sincerely thank you, Dr. Marcus!!!

I had an appt to see Marcus to get involved with one of his programs. However, the only way to see Marcus is to see one of the other doctors first. I was lucky enough to get Dr Jeeane Mckeean and let me tell you that was by FAR the WORST experience I have ever been to. Dr. Marcus is missed in-person due to COVID. He does Teletherapy, and is always responsive. Dr. Marcus is highly intelligent and provides such clear and focused solutions to help me. I work at a top notch college in the Boston. My job is extremely stressful, especially now during COVID. I started seeing Dr. Marcus when I was first having issues with depression an OCD, and I needed a psychiatrist immediately, but all the doctors in the Boston area had 6 month waiting lists. Dr. Marcus saw me fast, and got me on a medication fast (and luckily it was a perfect fit medication and I didn't have to try out lots of different pills). I can schedule appointments within the week, so that's very convenient. I guess this is a plus in a way, but I always seem to spend less than 10 minutes in his office. Not my usual experience with doctors, but at least I don't have to wait a very long time.

When I came back I saw many psychiatrists. Then went on Suboxone and Dr. Marcus was able to help me get off all drugs. I am highly motivated and every time I see him, he let's me know that I am looking better and he can always tell when I am in a hard situation or spot. However I have been doing so much better with his help along with my my family and friends. I highly recamend Dr. Marcus. I cannot say enough about how great it felt to be listened to by Dr. Marcus. He absolutely cares about the quality of life, and how best to help his clients feel their best. His attention to details in accurately prescribing medications is absolute on point. He’s also incredibly personable and conversational, he engages with enthusiasm and curiosity. It’s truly a rare opportunity in medicine to find a person of this caliber these days. He is truly here to help.
