I've had too many psychiatrists who seem to have an agenda that is not in harmony with my own personal experience. Or who are too concerned about covering their own derrieres to actually be willing to provide me with the help that I need.

I admit that I can be a difficult patient. Not because I am a difficult person, but because I have treatment-resistant depression, which is difficult to treat, and my experience with virtually every antidepressant I have ever tried has been bad.

Dr. Marcus seems willing to work with me on this in a manner that doesn't leave me in terror that more awful antidepressants are going to be pressured upon me in a way that would likely cause me great suffering, as has been the case in the past.
