“I want to share feedback about m...”
I want to share feedback about my visit with the physician. I was approximately 10 minutes late for my appointment, which I take responsibility for. I understand that can affect scheduling. However, after arriving, I was told the doctor was still with another patient and would be in shortly. He entered about 10-15 minutes later and stated that he was short on time because I was late and that we would need to rush through the appointment. The interaction felt hurried and somewhat abrupt. I do want to note that during previous visits, I have often waited 15-30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, so the expectation around punctuality felt uneven in this instance. The interaction felt hurried and somewhat abrupt. This visit was scheduled as my annual physical. While my questions were addressed, there was no physical examination performed (no heart or lung auscultation or general exam). I left feeling that the visit did not reflect a typical annual physical assessment. I am sharing this feedback out of concern for communication and quality of care. I value thorough, respectful medical visits and wanted to provide this perspective.
