This was the first time meeting Dr Jaya Sugunaraj and my husband and I were very impressed with him. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was thorough and explained everything In detail. We were very happy to meet him.

I know it is hard for physicians to deliver bad news. But this doctor obviously missed that week in school. He had very bad eye contact, even when shaking hands, and mumbled so much I could barely hear him. His delivery was poor, and how he told me the news was to show me on the scan the area and announce it was carcinoma. Then he asked what I wanted to do (about it I assume?) and said he would refer me to a surgeon. He stated that I was 76 years old ( I know that, what does that mean, that my life is over?) and then after the whole appointment asked if I had family. Shouldn't that have come first, as in getting to know you, getting to know all about you? He spoke to the computer rather than me. The worst news in my life, delivered in a less than optimal manner. I felt so sorry for him. I think he was more uncomfortable than I was. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

I was very happy with being treated as though l was his only patient. He took his time, reviewed my scan and assured me that this was something l would be able to handle with treatment. My follow-up was scheduled right then and walked me out.
