She genuinely cares about every child and demonstrates sincere joy in each interaction. I discovered her through my moms' group and then realized our dear neighbors and friends also go to her. My husband & I are physicians and have been incredibly impressed by her bedside manner, knowledge, efficiency, compassion, and intelligence. We highly recommend her!

Not only does she do thorough exams, but she really takes the time to hear my concerns and talk things through without making me feel rushed. She has been there for us for emergency accidents and to answer emails when I have questions. Nina coordinates all appointments, paperwork, questions to Dr. Ward, etc and she is amazing! Our 12-year-old daughter was not hitting her growth chart marks and Dr. Ward wanted to run some tests. We just thought she was a late bloomer and it turned out she has Celiac disease. She had never had any other symptoms (other than not growing) and Dr. Ward made sure we checked all the boxes. So very thankful for this diagnosis, if it wasn't for her, our daughter may have gone thru puberty without reaching her full growth potential and we would have never known, or known too late. Thank you Dr. Ward!

We love that drugs are not always her first reaction to an illness. It helps that she has a great sense of humour. The fact that she finds foster homes for cats and kittens, combined with being a former Airforce pilot just adds to her "coolness" ratings! We love her. Dr. Ward takes care of my two daughters. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and my kids feel comfortable around her. We are so lucky to have found her and grateful for her care and expertise. Dr. Ward takes care of my two daughters. I am a doctor myself in NYC and every time I see her I am very impressed with her professionalism and knowledge. In addition, her office staff is always friendly and helpful in getting appointments that work for us. Dr. Ward is hands-on with all aspects of her care. Thank you, we are so greatful!

Our children have been visiting Dr. Ward for the past six years. You can read all of the parental books in the world and get the greatest advice but until you experience firsthand what it is to be parent, nothing comes close. We are so luckily to have Dr.Ward as a pediatrician for our children. She was so calm and collective in what was a whirlwind of a process during the initial days of our first child. We spent half a day there and came back the next day. She takes the time to listen, understand what is happening, and gives the most honest advice. We have not once felt rushed or ignored. Dr. Ward spends as much time with you as you need, she returns calls on evenings and weekends. We have travel over an hour to visit her office and on the way there we think maybe it’s time for us to find someone closer, on the way back we both realize there is no one that we would trust more.

Dr Ward has been seeing our kids since they were all born (16 years almost at the time of this post) and we will continue to do so. Dr Ward has always been a doctor who prefers holistic approach before jumping into medications (only when needed). She has been able to recommend us to other specialist for pediatricians as well and always been available to us even on days she was busy and fully booked. Highly recommend.

Over the course of the last 14 years, our children have seen at least 7 different pediatricians in various office, downtown and uptown. Dr. Ward is far and away our very favorite. She is warm, caring, attentive, listens to the child, and treats the child with the utmost respect. She is reachable, never rushed, knowledgeable, and direct. There is usually a long wait in her office, but this is surely because she devotes so much time, focus, and attention on each patient.

My son had a tongue tie and not only did Dr. Ward immediately squeeze us in her busy schedule, but she also did a fantastic job in not only dealing with the tongue tie but also giving me tricks for better breastfeeding. She always takes time to listen to our concerns and answers every one of our questions, no matter how silly they might seem in hindsight. Her demeanor is very warm and and loving, while at the same time confident and composed. If you are in the New York City area and are in search for a doctor for your child, you will feel very well cared for if you choose Dr. Cathy Ward. Our only regret is that she is not a physician for adults as well.
