“The doctor was kind and seems ve...”
The doctor was kind and seems very knowledgeable about her field; however, she seemed only committed to ruling out a couple of things and very much minimized the symptoms our daughter was having. When the labs came back "good," the nurse called and just recommended we follow through with the ridiculous after care recommendation of seeing someone for nerve pain (she has unexplained fevers, joint pain and swelling, major fatigue, overall decline in health). We came to Vanderbilt thinking if we didn't get answers with one physician, they'd be committed to finding a provider who would help us. Our daughter left in tears feeling very discarded and misunderstood. It's been so hard on her being so sick for months and this felt like hope for all of us. It was not. I'm not saying she isn't a good doctor in her field but her level of concern for helping us find answers was very disappointing.
