Refused to See My Mother B/c No Insurance

Rude and lack of compassion for the treatment of my mother. Dr. Duerson refused to treat her when she had several problems with her mouth. She came out of there in tears and noted that the office staff wrote "no insurance" on paperwork. It is prejudice and I do not recommend this facility.

Nerve Damage

I had two root canal procedures performed by this doctor over a year ago, and ever since the second procedure I have had burning pain on the left side of my tongue and lower gum into the two teeth that were worked on. I have spent over $10,000 and seen 28 doctors trying to get consistent relief, but still struggle with the pain. I am on 5 prescription medications just to function on a daily basis. I followed up with this doctor on 2 occasions following the procedure and realized he was not going to be able or interested in helping me. When I tried to call after hours when the pain was so great early on I could only reach his assistant, who told me to take a pain killer that made me too sleepy to take care of my son during the day. During labor day weekend of 2015 when the pain was unbearable I could not get through to his assistant or never received a call back. I ended up calling my general doctor for help. My general doctor prescribed me a nerve medication (Gabapentin) that helped me some, but not enough. I cannot not take enough of it to help because my body rejects it; as well as other nerve medications. Since this procedure I have ran into a couple of other people that have had issues with this practice, one of which saw him. He missed one of their roots. I would not recommend this doctor or this practice for any dental work, due to the fact if you have a complication, you are on your own.
