My three principal aims as a palliative care doctor are 1) to utilize my clinical knowledge to accurately understand my patients' underlying clinical story; 2) to accurately convey that clinical story to my patients and their families; 3) to ensure that each patient I meet receives great medical care and symptom management even if their underlying illness is something we cannot cure.
