I was in for a physical. The entire exam was less than 5 minutes. I did not feel like it was at all comprehensive. I have never had a physical that was so brief and where such little was checked/examined. I will likely be looking for a different person to be my primary care provider. Maybe this is what physicals are these days. I was not impressed. For the fee I will need to pay, this was very little value that I received. I did not feel like the doctor knew anything about me or really cared to know. I felt like the appointment should have included a much more thorough examination, questions, and discussion about my health. It felt very rushed. It felt like I was more something to cross off a task list and less a person looking for a yearly physical exam. I worry that if this continues, something will be missed in the future that will significantly affect my health in a negative manner.
