Dr Gerber is an excellent doctor. A few years ago, Dr Gerber was the only specialist doctor that realized I needed to see an endocrinologist because of my symptoms. Between the time of seeing the endocrinologist, my family realized that we had a genetic hereditary very rare medullary thyroid cancer so I was armed with information. I had medullary and papillary thyroid cancer. The other specialists and primary care doctor just gave me Prilosec. It wasn't GERD, it was cancer. I suffered for 1-2 years coughing my head off. I have a fallen bladder now. Plus, I had Covid pneumonia prior to this and sepsis, then hypoglycemia after thyroidectomy. Dr Gerber was the only doctor who listened to me and supported me when no one knew what I had-he took the time. He is one of the best doctors I've ever met and was very emphatic about my condition. I still have a chronic cough which he still continues to investigate. He ordered blood tests which revealed hemoglobin E was abnormal. He started me on a stronger medicine to see if it helps.
