“This provider did not read up on...”

This provider did not read up on my medical history prior to seeing me and it showed during my visit. This provider is not my PCP nor had I seen him before. When discussing my concern I told the provider it couldn't be an issue with a specific organ as I had it removed. The provider proceeds to ask me am I sure and that it wasn't listed in my medical history. I informed him it is listened and then looks at my history only to see that it was. I feel like asking a patient if they're sure that had a surgery as if they weren't there is odd. I also thought the provider is supposed to review or skim the patients chart prior to seeing them. That did not make me feel comfortable in the care he was providing as he did not take the time to get a full picture of my health prior to coming in the room to examine me.
