“I love this nurse practitioner.”
She has been so great with me during my prenatal visits. She is close to my age, so I feel a sense of closeness with her that I haven't felt with other providers before. She is very thorough and comprehensive during my exams. If I had lots of questions, she would take the time to answer them all for me, but I never have questions because she normally covers everything each appointment. I don't feel like I'm missing out on opportunities that might be provided by other offices. I love the fact that my ultrasounds are completed at Ohio State University - a major medical center with high acclaim in this region.
I always get seen ASAP when I have an appointment scheduled, but getting the first appointment was difficult - at no fault of my nurse practitioner's- I think it's because she works at a federally qualified center where appointments are in high demand.
She is great, though, really. She understands I have some anxiety when I go to the doctor and listens to/answers to my concerns very patiently. She doesn't harass me about weight gain or other things that other doctors tend to hassle patients about, and she has a very laid-back demeanor that makes you really comfortable. Plus, she seems really knowledgeable about many things- not just in the women's health arena but in all health areas. I feel super comfortable having my prenatal care through her!
