“So I actually called your patien...”
So I actually called your patient experience line and still haven't had the courtesy of a returned call. I went to do my blood work in advance of my visit. After waiting the receptionist Kristen was incredibly rude to me. The phlebotomist had called out that day and no one bothered to tell me. I asked for orders to go somewhere to get the bloodwork done and was given paperwork by an office manager named Jennifer who was a completely unprofessional rude awful person. She discussed my personal medical info with me in the lobby in front of 4 or 5 strangers. She gave me orders written for LabCorp in Burlington NC. I asked if they had a location in chesapeake and she had the audacity to tell me to figure it out myself that she didn't know. I asked where I was supposed to go to get bloodwork done and she refused to provide me with any location other than telling me to go to the hospital. Seriously?!? Is this how you treat someone who has been a patient for years? I'm an attorney and I had taken time off to go to the office for my bloodwork. Then during my visit I needed an ekg and as I'm laying there nude the nurse asks me what I do for a living. SHE THEN PROCEEDS TO ASK ME ABOUT HER CHILD CUSTODY HEARING. I am not there to dole out free legal advice. I'm there paying for a service. This office is out of control and needs training on HIPAA as well as appropriate professional boundaries.
