Christy Smith saved my life by putting in an LVAD, then scrubbing out an infection that went all the way from my skin to the device.I owe her my life. The VAD was put in 5 1/2 years ago. With her help I got to be with three grandchildren and my three children's families. And with my husband who has stuck with me thru tough medical issues.
