I told the doctor that I had been sick with what I thought was the flu on December 9 (I had fever, chills, and a very violent cough which caused my ribs to be sore). I still had a cough the day of the appointment on January 7, although I felt the cough was diminishing. However, I am still experiencing a cough at this time (January 14), so I really wish I had been prescribed some sort of medication. If the cough doesn't leave, I am going to have to set up another appointment.

The only negative thing I have to say is that the discussion felt "rushed", as if the doctor had something more important to get to, which he probably did! It was the shortest time I've ever had with any doctor.
