“The care provider was exceptiona...”

The care provider was exceptional throughout my visit. I especially appreciated her excellent bedside manner, the genuine concern she showed for my condition, and the time she took to listen carefully and understand my concerns rather than simply move through the appointment. Her approach was thoughtful and thorough. She explored different possibilities and alternatives with me and made me feel genuinely involved in determining the appropriate next steps.What impressed me most was her willingness to look beyond the immediate visit and make certain I received the additional expertise my condition warranted. She proactively arranged an appointment with a colleague specializing in neuro-ophthalmology for further evaluation. That level of attention, clinical judgment, and coordination of care gave me tremendous confidence that my concerns were being taken seriously.She represents exceptionally well the principles of compassionate, patient-centered care that, in my experience, distinguish Houston Methodist from other healthcare institutions. Clinical excellence is obviously important, but the human side of medicine matters just as much-and she demonstrated both. I am very grateful for the care I received and would recommend her without hesitation.
