Dr. Dinko does not force his recommendations on you. We discuss options. When I was having issues with irregular heart beat and chest pressure he ordered cardiology consult and did ziopatch and cardiac stress test. He also ordered labs to see my cardiac risk. Since I have a strong family cardiac history we are now doing a cardiac calcium test prior to starting a statin (as I am apprehensive to start- seen a few bad reactions to statins). Also discussed the reactions and he put them in perspective for me- so I do feel better if I need to start them.
