Dr. Minnis went WAY above an beyond in explaining my medical situation and what I can do to make my eventual surgery have a better outcome. He put the imaging up on a screen in the exam room and walked me through everything. I had previously had a consultation with a surgeon at UCSF and Dr. Minnis' communication skills were, frankly, better. Also, he was willing to take a bit of perhaps extra time for me and that is enabling me to make a better decision for myself about how to proceed.

Very impressed with Dr. Minnis. He was very thorough, had thoroughly researched my previous medical records, took the time to go over my medical history and current concerns and provided clear and detailed explanations. He seemed highly competent and had an excellent personal manner.

Dr. Minnis was highly professional throughout the appointment: listening closely, asking clear questions, providing surgical options with context for each option, and speaking with candor, kindness, and good humor. I felt/feel good about the surgical course to be taken and am confident that all will go well, as it did a little over a year ago with a similar surgery on a different part of the body.

Dr. Minnis was excellent in every aspect of my appointment. In particular he explained my condition and the details of what would be done during surgery extremely well. He answered all of my questions clearly and patiently. I was given all the time that I needed to discuss my condition and I never felt rushed. When I asked for my husband to come in to join the discussion Dr. Minnis included him very well and answered his questions also.Especially appreciated was that Dr. Minnis had reviewed my health history including a relevant MRI prior to my visit So he was well prepared to discuss my case. I feel completely confident that he has the expertise, the experience and the good communication skills I want when I have surgery. Finally I would say that I feel Dr. Minnis genuinely cared about my anxiety and concerns and was able to alleviate these to the extent possible.
