I was not aware of the suggested phased in weight-bearing being an option until I was at the appointment, I was under the impression Dr Hall would be there and we would be discussing surgery if the CT scan result matched the x-rays which continued to show no healing of my fractured fifth metatarsal after over 4 months of non-weight-bearing with two and a half months of bone stimulus use. After the visit I did a little research on what happens if my fracture remains non-union or only fibrous Union indefinitely. I still would have agreed to choosing this trial phased in weight bearing as opposed to surgery after MY research, but I would prefer to have had a discussion with the medical professional after I looked into the option being offered so I could come up with reasonable questions. Arthritis? Susceptible to displacement? Etc.

Heather explained my son's upcoming surgery to the level that my 12 year old understood. She answered all questions that we both had. She was very thorough with explaining on what to expect with surgery, how recovery in the first week should be & how to handle pain management.

Heather has been very helpful and thorough with her explanations. At times my slow mind might have a little difficulty computing her expedient responses. I do really appreciate the documentation being uploaded to my WellSpan portal in an expeditious manner for this visit. I was also very pleased to see the documents uploaded to the workers comp e-comp portal for my DOL workers comp case.
