I am a current patient of Dr. Smith-Sham and I appreciate having her as my OB/GYN for my first pregnancy. She does not rush through her appointments and is engaging and willing to answer all your questions. She demonstrates genuine concern and interest for you and the baby and will follow up personally in emergency situations. “Good Doctor but very $$$”
The doctor is very smart, thorough, and has great bed side manner. The down side and why she did not get a btter rateing is that she sends you outside for basic things like blood work and ultrasounds. If this is done in house it is overed under my copay of $15 but by sending me to outside facilities my insurance puts it under co-pay and has left me with more than $600 in out of pocket cost above and beyond the copay. I relocated to the area and went searching for a new obgyn. I read about Smith-Sham's credentials and thought she would be a great doctor. I never had the opportunity to meet her because her staff was so horrible. They did not accomodate my schedule, told me what time to be there and on what day with no options. I was hung up on twice after asking a question I am guessing the ladies in the office did not know how to properly answer.
