I recently underwent a Double SGB procedure, performed by Dr. Sean Mulvaney. If was my first SGB with Dr. Mulvaney, but my 18th and 19th SGBs overall. Prior to, I was in a lonely, dark, isolated, and overwhelmed state; and my symptoms were out of control. Dr. Mulvaney moved his schedule to get me in within one day. From the moment I walked in the door, he and his staff exhibited warm compassion, rapport, genuine empathy, and professional care. Dr. Mulvaney explained every step in detail and confirmed my understanding and willingness to proceed. Both procedures went flawlessly, timely, and effective. I have lived with childhood trauma for over 25 years and watched my husband have a grand mal seizure three years ago, just 4 days before the birth of our first child. I came in with low expectations- after seeing many therapists and doctors over the years for ptsd/ anxiety, I didnt expect much relief or changes from the block. I have a fused cervical spine(neck) after I found out through x-ray.I went to see a Neuro Surgeon. He told me there was nothing that could be done. I believed him but was still trying to find ways to get some relief as my neck pain was an almost consistent 6-8/10 also causing frequent, almost continuous 10/10 headaches that were so horrific that I could barely function most days. When I came to see Dr Mulvaney he knew exactly what i needed. I have had Proliotherapy injections in my neck, on either side of my spine and at the base of my skull. SGB injections are nearly painless, and results are realized in as soon as 20-30 minutes. This is something that should be considered by anyone who has used the mainstream treatment modalities with little, or no improvement of their symptoms. I slept without chemical assistance for the first time in years, and enjoyed more than 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. For the improved quality of sleep alone, it was well worth it. But that is not the only benefit. I feel relaxed, less agitated, and much more like the laid back, and easy going person I used to be.

“Life giving”

I just completed my second SGB for PTSD. The first one was a major success. My anxiety and PTSD levels were max on measurable scales, after the first one my numbers dropped drastically. After the first shot, Dr Mulvaney challenged me to go live, to not be afraid of triggers. Accepting and living out that challenge I had a few triggers, but each time I was able to bring myself back down. Leading up to the second SGB my numbers had only slightly increased, but warranted another SGB. Needing a second SGB wasn't a failure, but proof that this method works and is part of the continued treatment that I needed due to how high my numbers were prior to the first SGB. After your first SGB it's a new life, you have to go live it, you have to get out in it and experience it without fear.

Dr. Mulvaney changed my life for the better today. I have spent the past ten years trying to figure out what is wrong with me, and not being able to understand why nothing I've tried previously has worked. I had done my own research on Dr. Mulvaney and SGB before coming to my appointment this morning, but in less than five minutes, Doc had explained exactly what's been wrong with me and why nothing I've tried previously (counseling, therapy, etc.) could possibly work. Then, he fixed me. I felt weight I'd been carrying for ten years just disappear. All appointments were on time and Dr. Mulvaney did not act rushed and provided the necessary time with my son both before and after the medical procedure. The treatment he recommended for my son's PTDS worked and allowed my son to get off all medication. My son no longer experiences the effects of PTDS. We feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Mulvaney.
