It was SO shocking to me that after a surgery I didnt need to take any pain killers, otc or rx. I knew then that I had made the right choice. and you cant hardly tell i had 3 stitches in my palm. Highly recommend .

Overall I had a great experience with both hands having the carpal tunnel release surgery. It was done through worker's comp which I know takes some time with getting approvals, but the time and process it was going to take between the two surgeries I wish was better explained. Not a big deal other then the workers comp doctor's plan was to kept me out of work between the two surgeries. After 3 months of being out of work, I had to ask the WC doctor to put me back to work. If I'd have known a bit more of the process, I could have alleviated some of that downtime. But overall, the surgeries went very well and much less recovery compared to co-workers who had the same surgeries elsewhere. I definitely will recommend Regional Hand Center and Dr. Avena to anyone having carpal tunnel issues.

As soon as I saw Dr. Avena, he immediately recognized what the problem was, removed the foreign body and stitched me up. I was on a trip when I needed to get the sutures removed and I went to an urgent care facility in a large hospital in Minneapolis. The doctor who did that saw how neat the suture were, called in some interns, showed them my finger and said "This is how sutures should look!"
