I was suffering from sciatic pain on my left side for months and went through the typical non-invasive measures to decrease the pain. I finally called the UPMC neurosurgery department and was appointed with Dr. Nitin Agarwal. A few weeks later I had minimally invasive surgery (XLIF) and felt relief of pain in my toes while in the PACU. I am 5 weeks from surgery and am able to walk 6000 plus steps without pain. I no longer need to place chairs in every room for me to sit because of pain. Dr. Agarwal and his PA (Abbey Crum) have been great to work with me and I am grateful.

I was suffering from sciatic pain on my left side for months and went through the typical non-invasive measures to decrease the pain. I finally called the UPMC neurosurgery department and was appointed with Dr. Nitin Agarwal. A few weeks later I had minimally invasive surgery (XLIF) and felt relief of pain in my toes while in the PACU. I am 5 weeks from surgery and am able to walk 6000 plus steps without pain. I no longer need to place chairs in every room for me to sit because of pain.
Dr. Agarwal and his PA (Abbey Crum) have been great to work with me and I am grateful.
