This is hard to really respond to and may not apply to my case. I was there to simply have stitched removed on a hand wound that is healing reasonably well. I do not believe the work was ultimately done by a doctor or NP but I do not know that. The doctor came in VERY BRIEFLY and gave quick instructions to the person who had escorted me to the treatment room. She did not appear to be a NP as I would not think a licensed person would need instructions on how to remove stitches and apply steristrip and liquid bandage to my hand. She did fine by the way so I am not complaining as it did get me out of there without futher delay.
