December 4, 2013 my father 80 years old then was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in Mission Hospital Mission Viejo, Ca. I requested to see an Oncologist to see if there is an option of treatments. Dr, Geroge Miranda showed up around 7:30 pm. Impatient he sat for ten minutes. Refused any kinds of treatment. Became a little edgy when I started imploring to help my father. He said " Your father is 80 years old, he has stage 4 lung cancer, his cancer cells look very angry! And attacking, he doesn't have much to live, at the best under six months. Sorry I can't offer any help, and he left the room while I was in tears. I did not give up, I looked for other Oncologists and sought treatment for my father. Through radiation Oncology with the help of Dr. Carolyn Young my dad's Lung tumor form 8 1/2 centimeter shrunk to 2 1/2 and is not active at this point. Today is April, 19 2015. It is one year and 4 months since Dr Miranda 's visit. My dad is alive and fighting cancer. Patients are not numbers in a medical statistics book. All I'm asking is to give people hope and help them. Thank you.
