I saw on my chart when I went in for a consultation that it says on the superbill something like, "charge more aggressively people we know (because they won't complain, and to charge less aggressively for people who we don't know or who are complainy." I went to several centers for LASIK, but didn't understand that there is a newer, safer procedure called LASEK that Dr. Chynn specializes in, where no flap is cut into your eye. Dr. Chynn was actually a resident at Harvard when 2 surgeons there invented LASEK, which may be why he is an "early adopter" to this no-cut, no-flap, safer technique.
