He has all the very best attributes as a person (communication skills, his ability to make authentic connections with his patients, his sense of humor, his relationship building skills, his empathy, his compassion, his awareness of real life concerns in people's daily lives, his ability to be truly present to his patients and his genuine desire to improve his patients' lives.)As a physician, he is phenomenal in his skill as a doctor, in his knowledge and his expertise. He is great in explaining what is happening from a medical point of view in a way that is not complex or overwhelming. Dr. Phillips always brings my Mom in on making a decision about her care and sharing his thoughts with her. My Mom and I have felt truly blessed to have him as her physician every time we see him. He Is consistently "who he Is" everyday, In spite of the demands on his time and the serious complex medical Issues he faces that probably weigh on him. He stands out as one of the finest physicians we have ever met.
