My husband and I recently moved to FW from Michigan where I have had the same dentist for over 40 years. I sat down with a member of the staff to discuss their practice prior to becoming a patient. I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and their attention to my concerns about having a new dentist after all these years. Dr. Diehl was happy to discuss all of my concerns, he and his staff did a great job on the procedures my husband and I had done this last year. They also went out of their way to make sure we knew how much we would have to pay out of pocket for the procedures. (We do not have the best insurance)
We are so glad that we found Dr. Diehl and recommend him and his staff highly.

My youngest son was terrified of the dentist after watching his brother have a tooth pulled. I thought I might actually have to have him sedated for a simple cleaning. However, after his visit with Dr Diehl, he exclaimed "he's the best dentist ever!" He even goes the chair by himself. I thank Dr Diehl and his staff for making my son actually eager to visit the dentist.

Patients without insurance actually have the simplest situation. When dental treatment is completed, the patient either pays at the time of service or utilizes one of our multiple financing options.
For patients with dental insurance: a patient with dental insurance adds a third party into the equation, the insurance company. With this arrangement, it becomes very important that the patient understand his or her benefits and how these benefits are defined. The insurance contract is between the employer, the insured, and the insurance company, not our office. So, we here at DFD spend a large amount of effort informing our patients of their specific dental needs. The diagnosis and types of treatment recommended by myself will be based solely upon my professional judgment and not on the coverage that is provided by your dental insurance plan. Your Dental Wellness Plan will include a breakdown of all treatment needs, all applicable fees, and we will inform you of all costs before treatment has begun. We empower our patients to be proactive in decision-making concerning their treatment recommendations and all financial planning.
Charges are payable at the time of treatment, unless prior financial arrangements have been made. As a courtesy to you, we will estimate your co-payments when scheduling the dental treatment and we will submit your claims promptly when treatment is completed. Because dental plans vary greatly, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith, but we cannot and do not guarantee coverage due to the complexities of your insurance contract.
