“Dr. Beyerbach's communication st...”
Dr. Beyerbach's communication style made the visit difficult for me. I had prepared a concise onepage summary outlining the dates of my recent Afib episodes and cardioversions, but he declined to review it. He then asked several questions that were already answered on the summary, which required me to refer back to it repeatedly.Throughout the visit, he frequently interrupted my responses after only a few words, which made it hard to convey important information or ask clarifying questions. As a result, I left the appointment with limited understanding of my upcoming ablation. The explanations he did provide lacked context, and most of my questions were deferred with the comment that the nurse's followup materials would cover them.Overall, I did not feel heard, and I left the visit without the clarity I needed about the procedure. I'm certain he is competent medically, just not a good communicator.
