I came in for my AWV, but was disappointed that no physical exam took place as in the past. My eyes, ears, now, throat, prostate, heart and abdomen were never examined. The entire exam was based on previous lab results. I guess you no longer do thorough physical exams as in the past.

Completely satisfied with MD care. Pleasant, easy interview demeanor for obtaining history, changes, problems. Have already recommended him to two acquaintances. Very patient with me as I provided (likely more) info than he needed.

My first transfer of care with Dr. Ruiz. He was personable, kind, caring nature. I feel he will be a good fit for my healthcare in a primary setting going forward.

Our transfer of care initial meeting left a lot to be desired (the doctor seemed to be uninterested in finding out anything much about me and seemed to regard the visit as a chore). However this visit was completely the opposite - he was engaged, listened well, asked good questions and investigated my answers. He seemed polite, and concerned for me. If recommendation was based only on the last visit then he would score a 5, but the first visit (transfer of care) causes me to still have some reservations.

Initially he seemed caring and kind but he shrugged off any help and said that we had to take up any concerns with the neurologist. I'm having great difficulty in taking care of my mom by myself and asked for help, but he passed the buck and said he wouldn't help.
