My first transfer of care with Dr. Ruiz. He was personable, kind, caring nature. I feel he will be a good fit for my healthcare in a primary setting going forward.

It seemed like his only concern was whether mom would be taking medicine or not. He was upset when we said she wouldn't be able to take the Lipitor (she's had very bad experiences with medication In the past and has a phobia about them). It's bad enough to be taking BP meds (for her), but the Dr didn't even address THAT! After he found out she didn't want to take the Lipitor, he left.

I came in for my AWV, but was disappointed that no physical exam took place as in the past. My eyes, ears, now, throat, prostate, heart and abdomen were never examined. The entire exam was based on previous lab results. I guess you no longer do thorough physical exams as in the past.
