“Dr. Sabbota seemed very familiar...”
Dr. Sabbota seemed very familiar with my medical history and needs ahead of my appointment. He had reviewed my CT scan from 11 months ago, and was familiar with my experience during my recent hospitalization, which was the reason for my visit. He also listened carefully to my concerns and questions and took time to explain my upcoming surgery, showing me pictures of my CT scan from 11 months ago (which I had never seen prior to this appointment). He took time to draw pictures of his surgical plan, and described options he might have to use depending on what he finds during the surgery. He was patient and didn't ignore any of my concerns. I really appreciated that he listened to me and didn't make me feel rushed at all. I didn't feel that any of my concerns were ignored. He also anticipated concerns I might have, and explained why he made some of his decisions. He respectfully asked if he could record the appointment in order to accurately record what we discussed. I agreed, and I saw in his after visit notes that he did here capture my concerns, which has not always been my experience with other physicians.
