I am very disappointed and upset with this provider. My daughter has been struggling with leakage and frequent UTI's for several years and we started seeing this doctor last year and have had two visits. The first visit was great but last week was completely different. She sounded very nasty when I suggested that some of my daughters odor issues cleared up when she started wearing pad liners to help catch the leakage. My biggest concern was the way she chose to deliver her medical advice. While her advice made sense but she was excessively rude. She used shame tactics to tell my daughter she needs to fix this issue. She continuously referred to my daughters use of pads as wearing diapers, told her she doesn't want to go to school wearing a diaper and be laughed at by her friends and definitely doesn't want to end up still in diapers when she starts middle school in the fall. At one point, she looked to me and said she could tell by looking at me that I must be exhausted with fixing this issue because I looked worn out. I was tired looking because of a completely separate issue that had nothing to do with why we were there. I had explained that I was mainly worn out because I have a 4 year old I am potty training and she immediately started in on my daughter again saying that she shouldn't be letting her younger sister get potty trained before she is. She tried to "apologize" by saying this was simply the mean grandma she had to use to make her point. My daughter has 2 grandmas who have had to be "mean" and would never speak to a child this way. I have been coming to this hospital for years with my daughter and I have had such a high opinion, primarily due to her orthopedic provider. My issue was not with the proposed care plan, her patient communication was abysmal and left my daughter feeling embarrassed. She's embarrassed enough about growing up, she didn't need a grown adult throwing more shame in her face.
