Dr. Kelly grew up locally in Monroeville, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Gateway High School, where he played soccer, basketball, and baseball. He moved away to Indiana for college and medical school, but he was excited to return to Pittsburgh for his residency in orthopaedic surgery, where he was very active in medical student education and served as chief resident.
