Working with Dr. Doonan was an excellent experience, he focused on my questions and concerns, provided detailed information, put me at ease, made sure I had all the information I needed , explained what actions we could take to making whtever choices I wished to make and then allowed me to make a decision. I felt that I had made a decision based on a team approach and felt very comfortable in making my decision and at ease knowing that Mayo would be there for support along the way. I couldn't have asked for more.

Dr. Doonan was incredible! He went through my case in depth and explained everything clearly and in great detail. He informed me with honesty about the plusses and minuses of my therapeutic options. I came away with a much better understanding of my condition and treatment options. He Is a gifted presenter of clinical Information to the patient - he presents everything so clearly and makes sure that you understand. I would have great confidence having him treat my cancer if I lived nearby (unfortunately I live in NJ). The Mayo Clinic is to be commended for having physicians of Dr. Doonan's caliber. He is another reason why I chose to travel from NJ for my care and treatment.
