I have been in and out of therapy for years. I wish I knew her earlier during my years of therapy perhaps my therapy process may have not have been so extensive. Dr. Sheridan knows how to APPLY the art of listening skills with compassion and empathy for her clients. Through my years on the couch, I truly believe that LISTENING is a two fold process (1) being patient with clients and (2) focusing all his or her senses onto the client SAYING very little but brief meaningful messages to clients. Dr. Sheridan, even though she may believe she knows what is best for her clients, she allows clients to come up with the solutions to their individual situations which encourages them to continue this practice in and out of therapy. She embraces self reliance verses helpless dependence for her clients. Excellent! I highly recommend her!
