“After seeing Dr. Snow for an ini...”
After seeing Dr. Snow for an initial consult and X-rays, I got an MRI and used AI to analyze my results and to link correlations back to my lengthy medical history to help identify the root cause of my orthopedic issue. The AI helped me identify some key insights from the MRI report that brought additional concerns to light.I then wrote a message via the patient portal to get a confirmation from the doctor or her assistant, and it went unanswered for 2 months. During this time, I continued to work with my physical therapy team outside of this office to see if we could correct the issues I was experiencing.I then wrote another message to ask why my original message was never answered, and then I was told to make an appointment to see the doctor. I asked for a virtual appointment to discuss my concerns, and they insisted on an in-person appointment.Upon seeing the doctor for my follow-up, she obviously criticized my reliance on AI to help me connect the dots with my medical history. She must have a lot of patience who do this, and whether the AI is right or wrong is really up to her to confirm since she is supposed to be the professional. However, she was quick to state that I must seek further treatment from a different type of doctor and didn't bother to confirm or deny my original question about the additional insights in the MRI report. She never even looked at the MRI report because she had no idea what I was talking about! If she had only read my AI summary to address the root cause of my issues and confirm treatment with my PT, she wouldn't have looked so unprepared and surprised. Her assistant pulled up the MRI report and confirmed the key insights from the report that the AI highlighted. She didn't apologize or admit that she failed to look at the MRI report or my AI summary. This makes it look like she really doesn't care about her patients and doesn't have any real desire to identify the root cause of more complex issues. It's a shame that we have to use technology to help interpret our medical results because our medical care professionals fall short.I would not recommend anyone with complex issues to see this doctor.
