“Excellent, compassionate psychiatric nurse”
My experience with Abby Riggs, psychiatric nurse practitioner, was the best experience I have had with any mental healthcare prover in Austin, TX and indeed, with any psychiatrist, psychologist or social worker at any time during my 40+ years of on-and-off therapy. While many psychiatric practices will not even accept a new patient until the office reviews intake forms submitted online, if the practice is accepting new patients at all, Abby prefers to have a 15-minute, no cost, phone conversation to determine if she ans the prospective patient are a good fit. She is more respectful and accessible than the other psychiatric NP and the psychiatrist with whom I met earlier this year. She treats adults and children. The office is nice and relaxed, neither "new age" or clinical. The receptionist was friendly, kind and professional.
Comment - “ Not Good at all ”
Dr. Riggs is not professional and could not care less about her patients. At least that was the case with me. On more than one occasion she did not call the pharmacy to refill my pills and I was very ill on those days. On one specific occasion she went on vacation and did not call ahead for the refills. I had to wait 3 days for her to return! The receptionist Lori was very rude and said she could not do anything. This is obvious malpractice. I have already found another doctor. I just want to warm others of what they might be getting into.
