White Plains Hospital Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians specialize in high-risk pregnancy care for women at risk for complications due to medical obstetrical complications (i.e. diabetes, hypertension, previous preterm delivery, recurrent miscarriage, etc.), women of advanced maternal age(geriatric pregnancy), multiple pregnancies, and women with pregnancies affected by birth defects. They provide medical care and close monitoring from the preconception period, throughout pregnancy and into the postpartum period. This highly specialized care is delivered in a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach by a team of specialists including OB/GYN physicians, nurses, and nurse midwives, with advanced clinical expertise to help women experiencing a complicated pregnancy achieve the best possible outcome.
