Our board-certified thoracic and cardiovascular and vascular surgeons work together at the UF Health Surgical Specialists practice in our UF Health Heart & Vascular Hospital to care for patients with simple and complex heart, lung and vascular conditions. Thoracic and cardiovascular surgery focuses on surgeries of the heart, blood vessels of the chest, and the lungs. Our cardiothoracic surgeons offer a range of surgical procedures, including heart and lung transplants and endovascular surgery, or other minimally invasive options, to help patients recover faster. Our vascular surgeons focus on repairing damage to the circulatory system, including treatment for conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, peripheral artery disease and aneurysms.
