The UF Health Dorothy Mangurian Neuroimaging Suite is located on the Fixel Institute Campus. The 15,000-square-foot neuroimaging suite includes four high-tech imaging machines - including one of just three in the Southeast. In addition to expanded clinical and research space, clinicians and researchers will now have access to two 3 Tesla MRI machines, a PET-CT machine and a magnetoencephalography, or MEG, scanner. With a focus on neurological disorders, the neuroimaging suite will help move the needle in the care, treatment and research of Parkinson's disease and other neurological disorders. The MEG scanner measures magnetic fields produced by electrical activity in the brain. This helps surgeons prepare for surgery by understand the pinpoint, exact location in the brain causing seizures. After entering the Fixel Institute Campus, the UF Health Dorothy Mangurian Neuroimaging Suite is located inside the Imaging & Research building.
