“Experience needed and bedside etiquette.”

So far I find the Doctor to lack experience in bedside etiquette and lacks respect for patient's intelligence of personal awareness and health regimens that are being used based on empirically based research that she has not yet taken the time to investigate. Just because someone is able to balance an illness in a different way than she has learned about, doesn't mean that it doesn't work for that particular individual or for hundreds of individuals facing the same or similar illness. It is possible that studies have already or will be written on specific original combinations of treatments that will show significant improvements of the quality of life and longevity in survival rates based not on what a doctor decided but on what a patient experienced and lived to write about for the inexperienced doctors to read about. I think insulting a patient's intelligence and experience is not something I am looking for in my primary doctor whom I should have the utmost faith and confidence in. I hope that time will provide her with the opportunity to trust and respect her patients experience and intelligence as she adjusts to the patient load she has taken on. Otherwise future reviews will be as disappointing as this full year review. I was seeking a doctor that could grow old with us as many of our community doctors have, lasting up to 25 years or more, forming bonds of respect, and admiration for the huge commitment it takes at both ends between patients to doctors, families, and exampling for future generations.
